Doors open at 10 a.m.
Event begins at 11 a.m.
ADMISSION TO THE EVENT IS FREE!!! Bring your friends and family!!
The event will be held inside the BOK Center. Doors will open at 10 a.m. to allow time for teams to check-in and the event will begin at 11 a.m. All teams will enter the building through the Grand Lobby entrance (closest to 3rd Street and Denver Avenue in Downtown Tulsa). All other entrances to the building will be closed.
Once teams arrive, the team captain will need to report to the check-in table to pick up their team packet and a copy of the bracket and rules of the game. (Rules can also be found on our website at www.tulsadodgebrawl.com).
Each team member will also need to stop by the check-in table to sign a participation waiver (your team captains will have seen this waiver on the form they completed at registration). No team member will be allowed on the dodgeball court without signing a waiver.
Each team will play one warm-up game prior to beginning bracket play. The bracket is double-elimination, meaning that once your team loses twice, you will be done with play. We encourage everyone to stick around and support the teams who continue on in the tournament. All players are expected to display an appropriate competitive spirit - there will be referees on each court and players are required to abide by the referees' ruling. Any intense confrontation or inappropriate act will cause your team to forfeit their game - and in extreme cases, will cause their exit from the tournament completely.
All games are six (6) minutes long and will be played on a standard dodgeball court (which is 30' wide by 60' long). The dodgeballs will be 6.5" rubber-coated foam balls. Each team is comprised of six (6) players - some of you may have more team members and will be responsible for rotating them as you see fit. However, only six players are allowed to enter play at a time.
Game schedules and brackets will be e-mailed out to all teams next week and will also be posted on our website at www.tulsadodgebrawl.com.
The winning teams will receive prize packages, while their selected charities will receive a check from the tournament (this check will be cut on the first business day following the event).
Concessions will be available on site - no outside food or drink will be allowed in the building. This is a firm BOK Center policy designed to keep all patrons safe. Adults who are 21 and over will be permitted to enter the party zone next to the courts - this area will be monitored at all times during the tournament.
Street parking in the downtown area is free on nights and weekends - there are multiple spots that are just outside the building or that are a short walk from the BOK Center. Garage parking is also available on either side of the building.
