1720 Part Time Suite Attendant

Position Summary         

Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Perform all guest contact activities such as serving food and beverage, answering guest questions, etc. in a cordial, efficient and professional manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the food and beverage is served while maintaining a consistent presentation and proper temperature.
  • Assist in food, beverage, equipment, china, glass and silverware inventories on a predetermined basis.
  • Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (including other departments).
  • Enforce all sanitation procedures including safety guidelines and OSHA requirements.
  • Organizing equipment for an event as well as cleaning, maintaining, and looking after equipment during and after functions.
  • Make sure all storerooms are clean, organized and secured.
  • Immediate communication of special requests, guest problems or concerns to, Premium Seating F&B Manager.
  • Follow all designated opening and closing procedures to ensure areas are secure and energy efficient.
  • Follows all rules and regulations which apply to the food and beverage operations and to SMG Food and Beverage Division.
  • Ensure the proper handling and cleaning of all equipment, china, glass and silver.
  • Perform any reasonable requests assigned by management for the arenas staffing and performance needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Minimum one-year formal experience as Banquet Server for a conference center banquet facility, arena, full service hotel or restaurant operation.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must have current Oklahoma Liquor License
  • Food handler certificate required from Health Department.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work with co-workers, volunteers and all levels of staff.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have current Oklahoma Liquor License
  • Food handler certificate required from Health Department.
  • Must be of legal age limit with respect to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers.
  • Ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

Computer Skills

  • Micros system experience preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed for events.

  • This position requires stooping, lifting and walking. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
