Description

Assist in the implementation and organization of various activities and events at SMG – Tulsa

Plan, coordinate and perform general office functions such as telephone support, sending and receiving of event paper work, handling mail, and maintaining files and records for the Director of Event Services.

Assist the Event Manager and Event Coordinator in managing concerts, special functions, and sporting events held at SMG – Tulsa.

Provide service support for the Guest Services Department.

Assists in special projects as needed.

Required Skills:

Must be adaptable and versatile. Exceptional guest services skills. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Demonstrate initiative.

 

Besides commitment, enthusiasm, personal drive, the ability to take direction and constructive criticism, and a willingness to learn, an intern must have completed their sophomore year in college and carry a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Experience with Microsoft Office and other software applications are helpful. Applicants must also demonstrate effective communicative abilities, both written and verbal.

 

Hours:

  • Flexible days Monday through Friday, normal office hours for facility are 9:00am — 5:00pm.
  • Interns will be expected to work event days, including weekends and nights.
  • Intern supervisor will set scheduled hours based on class schedule of the intern.

 

Duration:

In general, internships will last 12 weeks, specific programs will vary.
