(Tulsa, Okla.) January 4, 2013 – Sarah Haertl, Director of Marketing for the BOK Center, received the 2012 Venues Today Hall of Headlines award in Marketing. Venues Today, the leading international trade publication that covers the business side of entertainment and sports, presents the prestigious awards annually in four categories: News, Bookings, Marketing and Concessions. The awards celebrate the top headline-generating individual in each category who has made a prolific impact on the entertainment industry at their companies and respective venues. Winners were featured in the December 2012 issue of the publication.

Haertl was honored for her work on a four-part trade advertising campaign she spearheaded at the SMG-managed INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita, Kan., where she worked prior to joining the BOK Center team. The campaign was designed by Tulsa-based Cubic Creative and highlights four specific areas of customer service emphasized by the building to promoters, agents, artists and other industry professionals.

“There is nothing more rewarding than to be honored for doing work you love to do,” Haertl said. “I’m very proud of my accomplishments with SMG and look forward to seeing what we can achieve at the BOK Center.”

Haertl joined the BOK Center staff in September of 2012 after spending three years as Director of Sales and Marketing at INTRUST Bank Arena.

“We are excited to see Sarah recognized for her work at INTRUST Bank Arena. She has a great deal of passion for the industry, and we are glad to have her leading the marketing department at the BOK Center,” said John Bolton, General Manager of the BOK Center.
