SMG TULSA CHEF HIGHLIGHTED IN NATIONAL TRADE PUBLICATION

(Tulsa, Okla.) January 15, 2013 – SMG Tulsa renowned chef Devin Levine was featured in the “On the Menu” section in the December 2012 issue of Venues Today magazine, a monthly national trade publication for the live entertainment and events industry.

The publication highlighted Levine’s custom gingerbread houses he and his team create each December for the SMG Tulsa client Holiday party. The 2012 house was Levine’s largest to date. The awe-inspiring design took three days to build and was five feet long, three feet wide and 24 inches tall.

“What an honor it is to have my gingerbread house featured in Venues Today Magazine,” Levine said. “Our gingerbread creation has become an annual tradition and is featured at several holiday events. The beautiful photos and in-depth article showcased in the December issue made me very proud to be a part of SMG Tulsa.”

Levine is executive chef for Savor… the food services provider for both the BOK Center and the Tulsa Convention Center. He’s responsible for menu development and food productions for concerts and events, backstage catering for entertainers and production staff, and food production for charitable events, wedding receptions and conventions.

Prior to joining the SMG Tulsa team, Levine spent 34 years at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa starting as a Lead Cook and working his way up to Executive Chef. Levine is the recipient of numerous industry awards including Chef of the Year (ACF Tulsa Chapter), Best Country Club Chef in Oklahoma, Best Presentation (2002 Chocolate Cravings), Most Decadent Chocolate Display (2003 Chocolate Cravings), and multiple medals from the American Culinary Federation.
