Winterfest Returns to Downtown Tulsa

Winterfest 2012

The time has come to bundle up and enjoy the magical spirit of the holidays at the Fifth Annual Arvest Winterfest presented with Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation. Winterfest will be returning to the streets of Downtown Tulsa for an extended time starting Nov. 23, 2012 through Jan. 6, 2013. Be prepared for some special elements as Winterfest celebrates its fifth year. More details on fifth-year anniversary celebrations to come.

Since the event's inaugural appearance in 2008, Winterfest has become Tulsa's premier holiday event. In four short years, attendance for this event has soared from 35,000 visitors in 2008 to more than 130,000 in 2011. The seasonal celebration is open to the public for 45 days this year, giving everyone a chance to enjoy skating beneath Tulsa's skyline while watching free entertainment from our outdoor stage and taking in what has become one of the city's favorite holiday traditions.

Skating Rates and Information

Skate under the skyline on our 60' x 150' frozen ice rink this season on Third Street. Bring your own skates or rent them at the festival. The rink is open to the public daily from November 23-January 6, including Christmas Day! Check the daily calendar below for hours of operation. Spectators can watch all the action from the climate-controlled warming tent adjacent to the ice rink.

The skate rental kiosk accepts cash, VISA, and Mastercard. No checks will be accepted.

Individual Rates:

$10.00 per person (skate rental included)
$5.00 per person (with your own skates)
$5.00 for children under the age of three

Arvest Customer Promotion

Half price rink admission and skate rental for Arvest customers who use an Arvest card to pay for the skating rental.

Weekly Promotions

A variety of weekly promotions are scheduled during the festival. Every Monday, patrons will receive half price admission for skating with the donation of a non-perishable can of food to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. On Tuesdays, visitors can skate for half price with the donation of a new or gently used book to the Volunteers of America-Oklahoma Chapter literacy program. This promotion is made possible by the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation. Every Wednesday throughout the festival visitors can receive half-price skating or admission with the donation of a new or gently used coat, blanket, scarf or pair of gloves. These donations will benefit the Tulsa Day Center. “Warmth Wednesdays” are presented by Magellan Midstream Partners.

Group Rates:

Discounted group rates are available for ice skating by pre-purchase only. Prices are: $7.00 each (groups of 10-30), $6.00 each (groups of 31-50), and $5.00 each (groups of 51+). Please call (918) 894-4268 with your Visa or Mastercard ready. Please allow 48 hours for processing your order. Pre-paid skating vouchers may be used at the ice rink during any hours of operation. Group rate vouchers are only available for pre-purchase and are not available at the skate rental kiosk.

Horse and Carriage Rides

Enjoy a festive ride through the streets of Downtown Tulsa on a horse-drawn carriage. The exquisite old-fashioned carriage holds up to six passengers and is a magical way for a family to spend some quality time together. Check the Winterfest calendar for days and hours of operation. The carriage loading zone is located near the corner of Third & Denver.

Prices for a 15-minute ride:

$10 per adult
$5 per child

Cash only. Group rates are not available for horse and carriage rides.

FREE Live Entertainment

ONEOK is the proud sponsor of the live outdoor entertainment at this year's Winterfest. The 24' stage will host live music every week for the duration of the festival. A variety of musical talent is scheduled, including school choirs, marching bands, church groups, and brass ensembles. All entertainment is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, December 8, the Third Annual Holiday Market presented by River Spirit Casino will take place in the BOK Center’s Grand Lobby from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The market will feature hundreds of vendors selling seasonal gift items like candles, jewelry, gourmet foods, wine, clothing, and artwork.
